Inspired by the award-winning children’s book Thank You, Omu (Oge Mora) and Luke 14:15 (“Blessed is the one who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God”), “Your House” is an illustration of the banquet that awaits us.
Our acceptance of God’s holy invitation welcomes us into his kingdom, his presence, his house.
This song conveys the bright future for those overlooked and abandoned on earth. After living a life on the margins, Jesus Christ, the ultimate outcast, died outside of the city gate—a man rejected by his very own friends and put to death by his own people. And yet he rose from the dead, exalted! In doing so, he has bestowed upon the weak, the oppressed, and the abused the honor of a feast with him!
Belonging to God’s house will outlast being the outcast.
“All those who sow weeping will go out with songs of joy” (Psalm 126:6).

VERSE 1
Blessed are the ones who will eat at the feast
In the Kingdom of God
Blessed are the blind, they will finally see
In the Kingdom of God
Blessed are the poor, oppressed and abused
Blessed are the weak, distressed and accused
When you strike up the band
CHORUS
Your house will be full, the walls will shake
With laughter and dance and praise
Every sibling of all time and place
Your house will be full with praise to the King
Let all the redeemed come sing
Every promise fulfilled as we wonder aloud
The stones can stay silent
The people will shout
VERSE 2
Blessed are the ones who will eat at the feast
In the Kingdom of God
Blessed are the prisoners, they will be free
In the Kingdom of God
Blessed are the broken, frightened, ashamed
Blessed are the slaves – you will shatter their chains
When you say, “Come and dine”
CHORUS
Your house will be full, the walls will shake
With laughter and dance and praise
Every sibling of all time and place
Your house will be full with praise to the King
Let all the redeemed come sing
// Every child who was ever without
Every dialect joining the shout
Every promise fulfilled as we wonder aloud //
The stones can stay silent
The people will shout
